Viva Cruises has launched a series of sailings that bundle river travel with live classical music, pairing six-night Rhine voyages with tickets to André Rieu concerts in the Dutch city of Maastricht. The operator is scheduling three departures: 9 and 15 December 2026, and 15 December 2027, all aboard the 80-passenger Viva Ruby.
The package includes concert tickets and transport to and from the venue in Rieu's hometown. Fares start at £1,550 per person, with the ship calling at Dusseldorf, Venlo, Roermond and Nijmegen. The price covers all meals, flexible dining across three restaurants, premium drinks, daily minibar restocking, in-cabin Nespresso machines, a welcome bottle of prosecco, one high tea per voyage, Wi-Fi and gratuities.
Viva Cruises describes the offering as a way to match itineraries with passenger interests. Michelle Daniels, a director of sales at the line, noted that Rieu commands a dedicated following, making the combination of festive cruise and live performance a natural fit for repeat customers.
